Biography
Xianmin is currently a Petroleum Engineer with 41 years of experience working for Center for Integrative Petroleum Research (CIPR), College of Petroleum Engineering & Geosciences, King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. Prior to joining KPUPM, Xianmin worked as a Petroleum Engineer for Advanced Research Center (EXPEC ARC), Saudi Aramco and Senior Petroleum Engineer/Senior Core Analyst for four major oil companies including Daqing Petroleum Research Center, China, and Core Lab Inc., Omni Labs Inc. and Intertek Westport Technology Center in the U.S. His current research interests include SC-CO2EOR, CEOR, special core analysis, rock wettability studies and reservoir characterization. His specialty is designing and developing Lab’s equipment at reservoir condition to meet research needs. Xianmin has authored or coauthored 16 journal papers on the above subjects in Chinese and Canadian and SPE journals and presented 18 papers at SPE conferences, and holds four patents. Xianmin holds his B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from Daqing Petroleum Institute, Heilongjiang, China and M.S. degree in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming, Laramie, WY. Xianmin is member of SPE, SCAL and EAGE.
